Kerala State Film Awards announced, Suraj Venjaranmood wins best actor award

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 13 (UNI) Actor Suraj Venjaranmood won the Best Actor award for his performance in Android Kunjappan, Kerala Minister for Culture AK Balan announced the 50th Kerala State Film Awards here on Tuesday.
'Vasanthi' directed by Rahman Brothers bagged the Best Movie award, and Kani Kusruti won the Best Actress award for her role in 'Biriyani,' the minister told a press conference here.
Lijo Jose Pellissery, who directed the movie 'Jallikkettu', was adjudged the Best Director.
Fahadh Faasil was adjudged as the Best Actor in character role for his performance in 'Kumbalangi Nights' and Swasika has been selected for the award for Best Actress in character role for the movie 'Vasanthi'.
