UP govt exempts licence fee of cinemas halls for 6 months

Lucknow, Oct 14 (UNI) As a major relief to entertainment industry in the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced exemption of license fee of multiplexes and cinema halls for six months, from April 1 to September 30, 2020.
According to an official spokesman, the multiplexes and picture halls were closed during this period owing to the Lockdown and this decision has come as a major relief to their owners.
The CM announced the exemption was given under the provisions of section 10 of UP Cinema (Regulation) Act 1955.
It may be recalled that the government has permitted reopening of cinema halls from October 15 subject to certain conditions under the Covid protocol.

Hamirpur records 16 Covid cases, tally at 1051

Hamirpur,HP, Oct 14(UNI) Sixteen persons have been detected COVID-19 positive on Wednesday, taking the pandemic tally to 1051 in the district, so far.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Archna Soni said here that while eleven persons were found positive through the COVID-19 RT-PCR test, five others were found positive through rapid antigen test.
