Vijayawada, Oct 14 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Film Exhibitors association has decided not to reopen cinema theatres in the State on October 15.
The AP Film Exhibitors association leaders held a meeting here on Wednesday and discussed various issues for reopening of cinema theatres. Talking to media, Exhibitors association president K S Prasad said that the cinema theatres incurred huge loss as the theatres remain closed for the last seven months.
"Rs.10 lakh to be spent on each theatre to reopen. We can not run cinema theatres with 50 per cent occupancy", he said.
Though the Central government permitted them to reopen cinema theatres on October 15, it is not possible for the management of cinema theatres to open the cinema halls.
