Modi likely to address 9 rallies in person in Bihar

New Delhi,Oct 14 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to address at least nine physical rallies-three each for the three phases-for the Bihar Assembly elections commencing October 28.

According to BJP sources, the dates and venues for rallies of the Prime Minister would be decided soon.

"Once the availability of the PM is confirmed, the venues and dates will be announced," the sources said adding that the schedule for the first phase is likely to be announced in "a couple of days."

The sources also informed that strict compliance of Covid-19 restrictions would be ensured during the PM's rallies for which there will be a cap on physical attendance.

"We are trying to make sure that maximum people are connected through digital platforms for which 10,000 'social media commandos' will be deployed at booth level to enable people to listen to the PM and other leaders live amid Covid restrictions," the sources maintained.

The Bihar Assembly elections will be the first major polls to be held in India amid the pandemic.

Apart from October 28, voting in Bihar would also be held on November 3 and 7.

The counting would be held on November 10.
