Two youths die in TN after being hit by goods train

THANJAVUR: Two youths died after being hit by a goods train while they were crossing the tracks near Kumbakonam on the Thanjavur-Trichy section in the early hours of Wednesday. The Government Railway Police retrieved the bodies.
The deceased have been identified as R Vijay, 25, of Ullikhan Street in Kumbakonam and M Santhosh, 20, of Annai Anjugam Nagar in Chetti Mandapam area near Kumbakonam.
They were hit by a goods train carrying paddy bags from Mayiladuthurai to Hosur.
Further investigations were on.
