MBVV Police chief orders inquiry into birthday party at police station

Thane, Oct 14 (UNI) Chief of the newly formed Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar (MBVV) police commissionerate Sadanand Date on Wednesday ordered an inquiry into the complaint that the Inspector in-charge of the Tulinj police station had allowed and participated in the birthday celebrations of a private person in the premises of the police station recently.

Acting on a complaint that the birthday cake was cut in the premises of the police station, the police chief has asked the assistant commissioner of police of Nala Sopara division to carry out a preliminary inquiry into the complaint and the allegations into it, an official release said here.
Based on the findings of the report, a suitable action would be taken against the concerned official.
A video of the police officer participating in the birthday celebration and the police officer and the private person feeding each other the birthday cake and the other staff clapping has gone vital on social media.
