Selena Gomez has had quite a year. The musician kicked off 2020 by releasing her latest album, Rare, and also treated her fans to a beauty line with the same name. Over the past few months, she's also been busy producing movies and hosting her very own cooking show called Selena + Chef. The musician also recently collaborated with K-Pop band BLACKPINK on a track called ‘Ice Cream’, and to celebrate it, launched a brand new flavour of ice cream with Serendipity called Cookies & Cream Remix, which happens to be a mix of pink vanilla ice cream, cookie bits and fudge.
In the middle of it all, the 28-year-old made a big purchase this year, and moved into her brand new home, a $4.9 million mansion in Los Angeles. Despite her busy schedule, Gomez has managed to enjoy lots of quality time alone in the new residence while social distancing from the public. Previously owned by late musician Tom Petty, the 11,000 square feet property boasts six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms along with a gym, a massage room, wine cellar, and an LA home staple–a lavish pool. Selena Gomez's living room, which features frequently in her cooking show, follows a harmonious palette of whites and neutrals with a grand white fireplace and floor-to-ceiling French windows. A comfy beige sectional sits in the middle of the space topped off with fluffy white cushions, right by a matching wooden centre table. Forest green curtains and a Persian rug add colourful accents to the room. Often flooded with tons of California sunshine, this spot makes a snug spot for hosting friends, family, and of course, Gomez's dogs Daisy and Winnie.
While at home, Selena Gomez has been sharing lots of fun culinary content from her kitchen, and her show Selena + Chef has given fans lots of sneak peeks into her expansive cooking space. Following a similar theme palette to her living room, the kitchen houses pristine white cabinets lined neatly on either side of the stove. In stark contrast to the room's wooden interiors, the stove area sits sheltered under a beautiful off-white brick dome–the very first element to catch one's eye in this space.
With two separate kitchen islands featuring grey marble countertops and accompanied with blue chairs, the space makes a picture-perfect backdrop for Gomez's cooking show. The exposed wooden beams on the ceiling, ornate golden lantern and brick dome mentioned before add a rustic charm to the otherwise modern-looking space. Bathed in natural light and dotted with small plants, the musician's kitchen is undoubtedly one of her favourite places to unwind.
Selena Gomez's bedroom, featuring a bed covered in silk pillowcases and backed by an elegant beige headboard, is one of her go-to spots for beauty selfies. The room seems to align with the soothing white aesthetic of the rest of her house, broken only by a baby blue pastel wall behind her bed.
Gomez's favourite spot to experiment with Rare Beauty products is, no surprise, her all-white bathroom, which features forest green curtains, just like her sun-kissed living room. A large bathtub sits right next to a window, creating a haven for the star, where she can unwind after a long day with a beautiful view of California's greenery. The ebony fixtures on the bathtub pair well with the ceiling light, adding a delicate touch to the space.
Selena Gomez's sprawling LA home home includes a dedicated music room, where she can practice her singing, piano and guitar skills for hours. A striking white piano rests in the centre of the room, with a matching ivory rug underneath. The dark green walls here take a detour from the clean aesthetic of the rest of her house, patterned with leaves and pink blooms.
Gomez is often seen perched on one of the two burgundy armchairs that sit by the white-trimmed windows in this room, which also features dark stone flooring and exposed wooden beams on the ceiling. A little storage basket of wooden logs suggests that the room also includes a fireplace.
Like most celebrity homes, Gomez's mansion comes with its own pool. The gorgeous outdoor space includes lots of lush greenery, and is a great spot for the singer to lounge around and pose for home photoshoots.
