PSI, woman sarpanch among 3 trapped in ACB net in Nashik

Nashik, Oct 14 (UNI) Three people, including two government servants, were arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau of Nashik from two different places in the district on Wednesday in bribery cases.
In an incident, a police sub-inspector of Malegaon police station Sandeep Shantaram Thakre and a private man Abdul Raheman Abdul Kadir were caught red-handed by ACB while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 60,000 for helping a complainant in a police case filed at the respective police station.
PSI Thakre had demanded Rs 80,000 as bribe from the complainant for helping him, of which the former had already taken Rs 20,000 as first installment, a press note issued by ACB said here
In another incident, a woman sarpanch of Darigaon village Alka Ambadas Gangode was caught red-handed by ACB while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 for helping a complainant to sanction grants for building a house under the Shabri Aawas Gharkul Scheme, it added.
