The Rotary Club of Bicholim felicitated teachers from 11 schools in Bicholim and Valpoi at a function organised at Rotary House, Bicholim. The teachers were presented with a ‘Nation Builder Award’ at the hands of chief guest for the function, assistant district governor, RID 3170, Ajay Menon.
On the occasion, the Rotary Club members also donated a book titled ‘School Administration Simplified’ written by PR Nadkarni to the headmasters of
the schools.
Present at the function were president of Rotary Club, Bicholim, Shamkant Mulgaonkar; secretary, Pankaj Telil Sudath Mandrekar, Prashant Chanekar, Sudin Nayak, Anand Desai, Sandesh Burye, Ramanand Natekar, Akhtar Shah, Sandip Sawant and other members.
The teachers who were felicitated were Shivdas Kauthankar of Government High School, Shirodwadi, Mulgaon; Sudan Sawal of Shantadurga High School, Bicholim; Shubhada Paradkar of Shrimati High School, Velguem; Laxmi Narayan Tari of Govind Gunaji Sawant High School, Sarvan; Rajani Kudaskar of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Valpoi; Ulhas Manerkar of Hanuman Vidyalaya, Valpoi; Abdulla Khan of Unity High School, Valpoi; Sunanda Korgaonkar of Mahamaya High School, Mayem; Lavinia U Lobo of Shivaji Raje High School, Sal; Priyadarshani Pal Raut of Keshav Seva Sadhana School for specially-abled children, Bicholim; and Vijayadevi Gad of Government Middle School, Nanoda.
Shubhada Paradkar expressed her happiness and thanked Rotary Club Bicholim for honouring the teachers as nation builders. She added that teachers are currently making an effort towards the smooth online education of the students.
