2 police officers transferred

Bhopal, Oct 13 (UNI) In compliance with the Election Commission’s directive, a couple of police officers were reassigned on Tuesday in Madhya Pradesh, official sources said.
Gwalior’s Maharajpura City Superintendent of Police Ravi Bhadouria has been posted at Headquarters as Deputy SP and Hazira Police Station Inspector Alok Parihar was also shifted to Headquarters.

Total 56 aspirants submit papers in MP

Bhopal, Oct 13 (UNI) With 28 more contenders submitting nomination papers on Tuesday in Madhya Pradesh where 28 Assembly constituencies – in 19 districts – are witnessing by-polls, the total number of nominees to have proffered documents thus far rose to 56.
The day’s break-up is Dimani four; Hatpipliya and Suwasra three each; Sanchi, Anuppur, Badnawar, Nepanagar, Biaora and Surkhi a couple each; Gwalior, Morena, Gohad, Malhara, Mandhata and Ambah one each. The final date for doing so is October 16, scrutiny is scheduled the following day, the deadline for withdrawal of candidature is October 19, voting is to be conducted on November 3 and counting a week after that, an official release said.

MP gets 145 more educational structures

Bhopal, Oct 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday dedicated to the people – during a programme at the state capital’s grand Minto Hall – 145 educational buildings constructed by incurring an expenditure of Rs 497.70 crore.
These comprise 13 Specialised Residential schools, three hostels plus 129 high and higher secondary school buildings. Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises plus Science and Technology Minister Om Prakash Sakhlecha and Minister of State for School Education (Independent Charge) Inder Singh Parmar were present. Pro Tem Speaker Rameshwar Sharma and Tribal Welfare Minister Meena Singh also participated.

MP winning war against COVID-19: CM

Bhopal, Oct 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed satisfaction on Tuesday over the fact that the state registered a decline of 37 per cent vis-à-vis fresh novel coronavirus cases during the past three weeks, the recovery rate has attained 88.4 per cent, the number of active patients – which had crossed 20,000 – is down to 14,932 and fatality significantly came down to 1.78 per cent, official sources said.
“An adequate number of beds and sufficient oxygen are available at dedicated infirmaries in all districts. Industries will also receive the gas as per requirement. Collectors and other functionaries concerned should take special precautions during coming festivals plus brace for winter,” the veteran leader averred via videoconferencing.
