Tesco Bengaluru Onboards Ramamoorthy Rajagopal as Finance Director

Tesco Bengaluru, the global business services & technology arm of UK’s retail giant Tesco PLC, today announced the appointment of Mr. Ramamoorthy Rajagopal as the Finance Director, Tesco Business Services & Tesco Bengaluru. The appointment of Ram (as he is fondly known as), is in line with the company's purpose to serve our shopper a little better every day.

Prior to joining Tesco, Ram has held various leadership positions in large multinational organizations such as GE, Reliance, Vodafone, and Axiata. In his former role, as the Head of Strategic Cost Management at Axiata, Ram drove a US $1Bn Cost Excellence program spread across ten countries in Asia. He has also been previously recognized as the Best Business Partner across Vodafone Worldwide for his Asset Productivity Improvement program.

Being a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ACA), Cost Accountant, Company Secretary, and an MBA graduate – Mr. Ramamoorthy Rajagopal has also attended Leadership Development Management programs at IIM-Ahmedabad and Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires (INSEAD).
