Mah: BJP agitates for reopening of temples shut due to COVID-19

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Oct 13 (UNI) As part of the statewide agitation, the BJP-led Spiritual Coordination Alliance here on Tuesday held agitation seeking reopening of temples as they are shut owing to the COVID-19 crisis.
Headed by Alliance Convenor Sanjay Joshi, the agitators gathered in front of the Gajanan Baba temple in the Garkheda locality and resorted to fasting.
Prominent party leaders, including Sanjay Kenekar, Vijaya Rahatkar, MP Bhagwat Karad and MLA Atul Save MLA, also thronged to the venue manned by heavy security.
Reports said that similar agitations were held in front of the Eknath Maharaj temple of the Paithan town as well as the Hanuman temple of Vaijapur.
