With just few days left for the Bihar Assembly election 2020, the Janata Dal (United) expelled 15 party leaders for anti-party activities and their membership in the party has been cancelled for six years. JD(U) has taken this decision in view of their revolt ahead of the Bihar election and state President Vasistha Narayan Singh has expelled everyone from the party.
Among the leaders expelled are Dumraon MLA Dadan Pahlavan. He is contesting from Dumraon as an Independent candidate.
Former minister Rameshwar Paswan has also been expelled from the party. Apart from these, former minister Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, former MLA Ranvijay Singh, former MLA Sumit Kumar Singh, former chairperson of Women's Cell Kanchan Kumari Gupta have also shown the way out.
Pramod Singh Chandravanshi, Arun Kumar, Amresh Chaudhary, Shiv Shankar Chaudhary, Sindhu Paswan, Kartar Singh, Rakesh Ranjan, Mungeri Paswan and Tajammul Khan are also included in this list.
This comes a day after the BJP in Bihar expelled nine leaders, including a sitting member of the outgoing Assembly and two former MLAs, for entering the fray against official NDA candidates, mostly as nominees of the Lok Janshakti Party headed by Chirag Paswan which has raised a banner of revolt against the JD(U).
