Stock market update: SmallCap stocks fall; Aarti Drugs dips over 8%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading on a mixed note at 01:44PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Rane Brake Lining (up 14.04 per cent), Goa Carbon (up 10.78 per cent), L&T Technology (up 10.31 per cent), HSIL (up 9.49 per cent) and Rane Holdings (up 8.69 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Aarti Drugs (down 8.3 per cent), GTPL Hathway (down 7.94 per cent), Repco Home Finance (down 7.47 per cent), Electrosteel Castings (down 7.14 per cent) and Central Bank of India (down 5.52 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.1 per cent down at 14892.16 around 01:44PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 1.40 points at 11932.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 3.33 points at 40597.13.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Alok Industries, Vedanta and Trident Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of L&T Technology Services Ltd., HCL Tech, JK Cement, Ambuja Cements and Coforge Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., A & M Febcon Ltd., Goldline International Finvest Ltd., Future Lifestyle Fashions Ltd., Future Supply Chain Solutions Ltd., Majestic Research Services & Solutions Ltd., SC Agrotech Ltd., Pazel International Ltd., Real Touch Finance Ltd. and Ishaan Infrastructures & Shelters Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
