On Monday’s episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, contestant Komal Tukadia successfully went past 12 questions, but on her 13th question - worth Rs 25 lakhs - she got stumped.

Can you answer it correctly?

The question on which she fumbled was, During the Kargil War of 1999, what was the codename of the operation run by the Indian Navy? The options were Operation Talwar, Operation Katar, Operation Kirpan, and Operation Dhal. The correct answer is Operation Talwar.

How the Indian Navy gave India a strategic advantage during the Kargil war?

During the Kargil War, the three forces of the Army carried three different operations. Operation Vijay by the Army, Operation Safed Sagar by the Air Force, and Operation Talwar by the Navy. With Operation Talwar, the Navy blockade Pakistani ports, especially one in Karachi, during the Kargil war to stop the supply of oil and fuel. The Western and Eastern fleets of the Indian Navy joined in the North Arabian Sea and began aggressive patrols. This was a hindrance to Pakistan as they feared an attack on their ships from the Indian Navy.

The role of the Indian Navy at the time of the Kargil war must not be missed as the IN’s strategic role proved helpful for India’s victory against Pakistan.

Talking about KBC 12, the current season of the show took off on September 28. As for Komal, she decided to quit the show and went home with prize money of Rs 12,50,000.
