Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister Duraikannu was en-route to Salem, to pay his last respects to CM Edappadi Palanisami's mother, who died on early hours of Tuesday.

At around 10am, this morning, when the convoy was crossing Thindivanam, the Minister had complained of uneasiness and breathlessness. He was immediately rushed to the Villupuram Government Medical College and Hospital (VGMCH) in Mundiyambakkam.

After first aid, the Minister was later shifted to a Chennai by road, in an ambulance, for further treatment. The condition of the Agriculture Minister is said to be stable, according to the reports.
