Chautala demands outstanding amount of Haryana's share of compensation fund

Chandigarh, Oct 13 (UNI) Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Tuesday urged that the outstanding amount of Haryana's share of the Compensation Fund should be released without delay. Earlier, an amount of Rs 761 crore was released to the state on October 5, 2020.
The Deputy Chief Minister, who also has the portfolio of Excise and Taxation Department, participated in the 42nd meeting of the GST Council late last evening through video conferencing. Apart from Union Finance Minister Ms Nirmala Sitharaman, who is the Chairman of the Council, other senior officers of the Council were also present in the meeting in New Delhi. Various issues related to the Compensation Fund to be given to the states were discussed on this occasion. This meeting was in continuation of the meeting held on October 5, 2020.
Mr Chautala apprised the Council Chairperson of the state of Haryana that the Compensation Fund should be released to at least those states which have given their options without any delay. He agreed to the council's proposal where there have been talks of the states borrowing loans with the help of the Centre.
The Compensation of GST which was to be done for a period of five years till June 30, 2022, The Deputy Chief Minister gave his consent to the proposal of the Central Government to put Compensation-Cess thereafter, on compensation of GST which was to be done for a period of five years till June 30, 2022.

The deceased has been identified as Manpreet Kaur, wife of Manjit Singh, resident of village Sundara. SHO Rawalpindi Raghbir Singh said that the girl had come to her parental house.

HSHEC discusses Flexi examination System
