AMBALA: Ambala district in Haryana reported 40 fresh positive cases, on Tuesday, increasing the case tally to 8,555 with 270 active cases, district civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh said.
As many as 19 cases were from Ambala City, nine from Chourmastpur, six from Ambala Cantt, three from Mullana, two from Shahzadpur, and one from Naraingarh, said Dr Singh.
As many as 50 patients were discharged, taking the recovery count to 8,179 with the recovery rate of 95.60%, he said.
In Ambala, a total of 106 patients died of
Covid-19 with the mortality rate of 1.22%, said Dr Singh.
“So far, we have collected 1,04,091 samples for Covid-19 testing in Ambala, of which, 78,484 are RT-PCR samples and 25,607 are antigen testing kit samples. In the district, we have collected 92,279 samples per 10 lakh population”, said Dr Singh.
