UP: Kotwali In-charge attached to police lines in Gonda

Gonda, Oct 12 (UNI) A Kotwali In-charge was attached to the police lines with immediate effect for negligence in duty here, police spokesperson said on Monday.
As per the spokesperson here, the priest at the Shri Ram Janaki temple situated in Tirre Manorama in the Itiyathok Kotwali area, had been left injured after being shot by miscreants, late Sunday night.
Following the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Shailesh Kumar Pandey attached Kotwali In-charge Sandeep Singh to the police lines with immediate effect for being negligent in his duty.
Notably, the temple's Mahant Sitaram Das had issued a video on social media saying that the incident happened because of the police's negligence.

Srinagar, Oct 12 (UNI) J&K Police chief on Monday said that as many as 180 militants, including top commanders of different outfits, were killed in 75 successful operations conducted by security forces while 55 personnel were martyred during the last over nine months in Kashmir valley.
