Noida: BJP district vice-president Suresh Krishnan (48) died on Saturday night. He was admitted to Kailash Hospital for the past 17 days after testing positive for Covid-19.
Krishnan is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.
MP Mahesh Sharma expressed shock at the untimely death. “He was a hard worker of the BJP and had contributed in countless social initiative. His death is an irreparable loss to the city and a personal loss to me,” said Sharma.
MLA Pankaj Singh said: “He was a diligent worker of the BJP. The entire party stands behind his family.”
Krishnan was also the senior vice president of the Federation of Noida Residents’ Welfare Associations (FONRWA) and the president of the Malayali Association in the city.
“His is a loss not only for me but the entire FONRWA family. We both had worked extensively during the lockdown to help distribute food to migrants. He was always ready to help and willing to spare time for social causes. He will be missed,” said KK Jain, secretary general, FONRWA.
According to Jain, Krishnan had contracted the virus from his younger brother who stays with him. Krishnan was BJP cremated on Sunday.
