COIMBATORE: A 11-year-old boy and his 7-year-old brother on Monday were found dead under Noyyal River bridge in Tirupur.
The duo went fishing to the river on Sunday evening.
The deceased have been identified as B Mohammed Sameer, 11, and his younger brother Mohammed Zahir, 7, from Gurunatha Gounder street in Tirupur.
A police officer said that Sameer was studying class VI and Zahir in class II. Their father Basheer Ahmed, 37, is a wall painter and mother Shabitha Banu, a home maker.
On Sunday evening, the boys did not return and their parents began to search for them. They also lodged a complaint with Tirupur city police.
On Monday morning, the duo were found dead under the Noyyal river bridge in Tirupur.
The dead bodies were sent to Tirupur medical college and hospital for a postmortem. The police said that further inquiry is on.
