India’s financial capital Mumbai and its neighbouring regions face a power outage because of a grid failure.

The failure disrupted incoming supply from Tata Power Co. Ltd., according to a tweet by Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport. The outage also disrupted local railway services.

Mumbai is home to more than 2 crore people. The city is also a base for nation’s stock exchanges, central bank, and several large conglomerates.

BMC Commissioner Tells Hospitals To Get Enough Diesel To Maintain For Eight Hours

The

All the hospitals to contact their respective SWM transport GARAGE officers to get enough supply of diesel for at least eight hours so that there is no power failures in hospitals especially ICUs.

In case of any issues please contact disaster control room for help.

Suburban train services were disrupted due to the power outage in in Mumbai. “We are stuck here since 10:00 am,” a commuter said at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. “We are clueless about how long we will have to wait here." ANI
