Legislations brought in Parliament should be scrutinised: CPI

New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) The CPI on Monday said the Legislations brought in Parliament should be scrutinised.

This view was expressed by CPI General Secretary D Raja at a Webinar on 'Decorum in Parliament,' organised by FCC South Asia. The webinar was broadcast Live on UNI's official Twitter handle.

Participating in the webinar, the CPI General Secretary said, 'Parliament represents the will of the people. NDA government brings legislations in form of Money Bills.'

He said the Legislations need to be scrutinised.

'We should think of comprehensive electoral reform,' he said.

On the issue of Live telecast of Parliament proceedings, D Raja said, ' Live telecast has helped to communicate with people directly.'

Former Union Minister and BJP Rajya Sabha Member KJ Alphons said, ' We must have 'Decorum in Parliament'.

On the issue of Live telecast of the parliament proceedings, KJ Alphons said Live telecast helps Members to prepare as they come to Parliament.

DMK Rajya Sabha MP from Tamil Nadu, Tiruchi Siva, said democracy is not always the rule of majority, Opposition must be heard also.

He said Law legislated should be done in a proper manner.

On the Live telecast of parliament proceedings, he said, 'Live telecast has improved the standard of debate.'

Congress Rajya Sabha MP KTS Tulsi said, ' Way of our Parliament functions needs reform.'

Increase in the role of party leaders is needed, he added.
