Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to hold press meet at 12:30 PM

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hold a press conference on economic issues at National Media Centre in Delhi at 12.30 PM today.

FM Sitharaman's address will be held ahead of Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council meeting, which will take place at 4 pm today. In the meeting, the focus will be again on issues related to GST compensation, which could see another round of confrontation between the NDA-ruled states and states ruled by other parties over the issue of constitutionally-mandated GST compensation for states.
