Itanagar, Oct 12 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Covid-19 tally crossed the 12000-mark with detection of 148 new cases, while the fatalities toll rose to 24 following death of a 58-year-old man.
According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS), the state’s caseload stands at 12147, including 9232 recoveries and 2891 active cases.
Of the new positive cases,74 were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC), 10 each from Leparada and Namsai, nine from West Siang, seven each from East Siang and Lower Subansiri, it said.
Six each cases were reported from Tirap and West Kameng, five from Changlang, three each from Lower Dibang Valley (LDV), Upper Siang and Kurung Kumey, two each from Papum Pare and Longding and one from East Kameng, it added.
Barring 19, all the patients are asymptomatic.
As per the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, a 58-year-old man, hailing from Biswanath Charali (Assam) was admitted to TRIHMS, Naharlagun at 1000 hours with CVA (stroke) and tested positive for Covid-19. He expired at 1100 hours.
As many as 158 people have recovered from the virus, it said.
