The Meteorological Department has said that the southwest monsoon is unlikely to bid farewell until next week. This can cause a gust of rain.

IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that a cyclonic circulation is forming over the Bay of Bengal, due to which the area of pressure will be further strengthened on the Andhra Pradesh coast in the next 24 hours.

Due to this, there may be rain in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, North Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and South Odisha.

He said that there is no possibility of monsoon for a week due to the prevailing current pressure zone. In the first week of October, a low-pressure area was created. The rainy season in India usually lasts from 1 June to 30 September.
