Deve Gowda dissolves party's unit in Kerala

Bengaluru, Oct 12(UNI) Former Prime Minister and the National President of the JD(S), H D Deve Gowda had
dissolved the party's unit in Kerala and had appointed an adhoc committee led by Mathew Thomas
on Monday.
In a party release it was stated that the existing party unit led by C K Nanu had been dissolved on the ground of an alleged attempt to destablise the party activities in Kerala.
It was stated that prior to dissolve the party unit, Nanu had been issued notice on working against the party unit in the state, which was however gone unanswered.
"C K Nanu had not taken any steps to strengthen the party unit in Kerala" the release said.
With the dissolving of the party unit the National president had appointed a seven-member ad hoc committee
to run the party affairs in Kerala, headed by Mathew Thomas.
While Jose Therttaiyil will be the vice president, Benny Moonjely has been named as the Kerala unit's
General secretary.
