Aryananda beat Zaid Ali, Tanishka Sarkar, Gurkirat Singh, Madhav Arora, Ranita Banerjee and Saksham Sonawane to lift the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs trophy. The first runner-up and second runner-up were Ranita and Gurkirat, respectively.
The episode also saw special guests Jackie Shroff, Shakti Kapoor and Govinda sharing anecdotes from their shooting days, making the finale a perfect dose of nostalgia.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2020 was judged by Alka Yagnik, Javed Ali and Himesh Reshammiya.
Talking about her win, Aryananda Babu said in a statement, “This is honestly a dream come true for me! The entire journey has been a great learning experience, and I am immensely grateful to the mentors and judges who have constantly supported and helped me understand my potential as a singer. Aryananda Babu has won this season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs. She has won Rs 5 lakh cash prize.
The first runner up is Ranita Banerjee. She has won Rs 3 lakh cash prize.
Maniesh Paul invites the seven finalists Zaid Ali, Tanishka Sarkar, Gurkirat Singh, Madhav Arora, Ranita Banerjee, Aryananda Babu and Saksham Sonawane on to the stage. The three judges are also here. The second runner up is Gurkirat Singh.
Govinda hands over the finale result to Maniesh Paul and exits along with Jackie Shroff and Shakti Kapoor.
Maniesh Paul surprises the audience as he sings the song "Tose Naina" from his film Mickey Virus.
Govinda's wife Sunita joins the show. She dances with Maniesh Paul to tease Govinda. She has come with a few questions from Ayesha Shroff (Jackie Shroff's wife) and Shivangi Kolhapure (Shakti Kapoor's wife). The first question is, 'Have they ever falsely praised the food cooked by their wife?" Jackie says it is him who cooks so this is not valid for him. Shakti says he hasn't done it ever. Govinda says Sunita cooks really good food. Next question is, 'Have they ever forgotten their wedding anniversary?' Shakti says he even forgets his own birthday and Govinda says he has forgotten the date of his marriage.
Madhav Arora sings Mohammed Rafi song "An Evening in Paris" picturised on Shammi Kapoor and Sharmila Tagore. Govinda is left speechless after the performance.
Divya Khosla Kumar and Darshan Raval enter the stage. They are here to promote their song "Teri Aankhon Mein."
Singer and judge of the show Javed Ali sings his chartbusters on the stage. He starts with Raanjhanaa song "Tum Tak", then he sings the title track of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dil Se and concludes his performance with the patriotic number "Maa Tujhe Salaam."
Shakti Kapoor shares how Govinda was brilliant at giving long shots in one take. He even says that no actor of today's generation can do it. Adding to it, he says he has done 48 films with Govinda. Shakti Kapoor also talks about Jackie Shroff's generosity. He shares how Shroff used to give money to poor people on the roadside.
Ranita Banerjee and Tanishka Sarkar sing "Tum To Dhokebaaz Ho Wada Karke" from the movie Saajan Chale Sasural starring Govinda, Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon. They also sing another song, "Akhiyon Se Goli Maare" from the movie Dulhe Raja.
Govinda joins Himesh Reshammiya on the stage as he sings, "Main toh raste se jaa raha tha". For Jackie Shroff, he sings, "Lambi judaai".
Singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya is on the stage to sing his popular songs. He sings "Tere Naam", "Main Jahan Rahoon" and "Hookah Bar" among others.
Govinda and Shakti Kapoor recreate their scene from Raja Babu. While Govinda played the titular role in the movie, Shakti was seen as Nandu. The two also dance on the song "Aa Aa Eee Oo Ooo Mera Dil Na Todo".
Gurkirat Singh and Saksham Sonawane sing Raja Babu song, "Aa Aa Eee Oo Ooo Mera Dil Na Todo." After the performance, Shakti Kapoor says Gurkirat is a star performer.
Shraddha Kapoor, in a special message, says, "It was a tough time when I started my career, but the support I got from my family is commendable. I am nothing without my family. I am so proud of you. My dad has done over 700 films. Thank you for being my bapu." After listening to her message, Shakti gets emotional. Jackie Shroff too is in tears.
Maniesh Paul shows how Himesh Reshammiya is eagerly waiting for the coronavirus vaccine. Jokingly, Jackie Shroff says he has brought a doctor along who will test Reshammiya for coronavirus. The singer-composer starts running around, saying he doesn't want to get tested. Maniesh adds to the joke saying he is the carpenter and not a doctor.
Ranita Banerjee and Aryananda Babu are on the stage to give their finale performance. They impress everyone with their soulful voice. After their performance, Alka Yagnik says if she would have had the trophy with her, she would have given it to Ranita and Aryananada.
Gurkirat Singh shares he will miss being on the set of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs. He says he will miss meeting the judges, jury and host Maniesh. To lighten up the emotional moment, Maniesh asks the special guests Jackie Shroff, Govinda and Shakti Kapoor to say each other's dialogues.
After girls set the stage on fire with their performance, boys Zaid Ali, Gurkirat Singh, Madhav Arora and Saksham Sonawane steal the show. They sing "Pak Chik Pak" from Govinda's film Raja Babu and Jackie Shroff's song "Amma Dekh Tera Munda Bigda Jaaye". Govinda is amazed at the talent of these finalists.
