R Prathima (26) was walking on the road in Ambattur Industrial Estate on Friday when a bike-borne duo snatched her phone near Menambedu and fled the spot. Based on her complaint, the Ambattur police have registered a case.

The victim, Ravichandran, who works as a manager at a petrol bunk in Tirumangalam, was walking to a hospital on the 13th avenue on Friday when the incident happened.
