Bengaluru, Oct 11(UNI) Senior Congress leader and the former Speaker of the Karnataka Assembly Kagodu Thimmappa, had contracted the COVID-19 disease and had been shifted to a private Hospital here on Sunday.
According to family sources, Thimmappa, who was tested positive for the disease was on home quarantine
for the last three days, and had decided to shift to a hospital in Bengaluru for treatment.
"There is no concern over his health," the sources said.
Meanwhile, the BJP's MLC, Ravikumar, also contracted the COVID-19 and went on home isolation, after testing positive for the disease.
"The BJP MLC, who also party incharge for the BJP in the Sira Assembly seat for which byelections will be
held on November 3, had returned after testing positive," the sources said.
