Yogi directs intense surveillance and contact tracing system to control Covid-19

Lucknow, Oct 11 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that the Surveillance and Contact Tracing system should be continued intensely in order to control Covid-19.

He also asked to conduct Integrated Command and Control Centres (ICCC) actively and in full capacity in all the districts with their proper monitoring by the DMs and the CMOs.

The Chief Minister, while presiding over a high-level Unlock review meeting at his official residence on Sunday, insisted that the principle of 'Jab Tak Davai Nahi, Tab Tak Dhilai Nahi ( No laxity till the medicine for Corona comes) ' should be followed in toto.

He said the special strategy should be chalked out at local level for Covid control in the districts where the number of active cases is over 100 per day. Reiterating that the mass awareness about protection from Covid is the need of the hour, the CM said the public address system should be used in this regard. He said apart from sensitising the people about Covid protocol, the message for road safety should also be disseminated. The CM asked to ensure social distancing and Covid protocol at paddy purchase centres.

The CM said the special sanitisation and cleanliness drive is being conducted till October 16 next. Under this drive, the sanitisation and cleanliness should be taken up in an active manner in Urban and Rural areas alike with spray of anti-larva chemicals and lime powder etc. He said proper monitoring of the drive should be done. Issuing further directions, he said the World Handwash Day is being observed on October 15, 2020 hence programmes should be organised to mark the day.

The CM asked to expedite construction work of Community Toilets and Gram Panchayat buildings. The CM asked the DMs to take action in view of the rising vegetable prices.
