Haryana govt's campaign to make villages of state free from 'Lal Dora'

Chandigarh Oct 11 (UNI) Haryana Government’s campaign to make the villages of State free from ‘Lal Dora’ got a major boost Sunday when Prime Minister Narendra Modi digitally launched the physical distribution of property cards to the property owners of 763 villages of six pilot States including 221 villages of Haryana under the “Svamitva Scheme” through video conferencing today.
The other five states included Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand.
While Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was present on this occasion here, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Mr Narendra Singh Tomar, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr Yogi Adityanath, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister, Uttarakhand Mr Trivendra Singh Rawat, Deputy Chief Ministers, Ministers and officers of the concerned States joined through video conferencing.
Pertinently, the Haryana Government has launched the campaign to make the villages of State free from ‘Lal Dora’ on December 25, 2019 on the occasion of ‘Good Governance Day’ well before the launch of ‘Pradhanmantri Svamitva Yojna’ on April 24, 2020.
Village Sirsi in district Karnal was the first village in Haryana to be declared as Lal Dora free. Under the Svamitva Yojna, 227 villages of 22 districts of Haryana have been declared free from Lal Dora. Apart from this, three cities of Karnal, Jind and Sohna have also been declared Lal Dora free. The State Government has speed up the work in this direction and soon the entire state will be made Lal Dora free.
On this occasion, a cheque of Rs 5 lakh was also handed over to Mr Likhi Chand of village Bihlaka, district Gurugram as the first installment of sanctioned loan of Rs 15 lakh against Svamitva Deed by the Gurugram Central Cooperative Bank Limited.
After launching the physical distribution of property cards under the Svamitva Yojna, Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi interacted with the property card owners from six pilot states. They included Mr Dashrath Singh Marvi of district Dindori, Madhya Pradesh, Mr Ram Milan of district Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, Mr Suresh Chand of District Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, Mr Mumtaz Ali of district Yamunanagar, Haryana, Mrs Ramrati of district Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh and Mr Vishwanath Krushna Mujumale of Pune, Maharashtra.
Mr Mumtaz Ali from district Yamunanagar who is a mason by profession thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving him legal ownership of his house property. He said though he earns Rs 15,000 per month but now after getting the legal document of his property under the Svamitva Yojna, he can avail loan from the banks to further expand his work.
