Here is wishing Pandya a very happy birthday.

17:02 (IST)

Meanwhile its Hardik Pandya's birthday and we are expecting a special from him tonight.  We look back at 3 of his best strike rate innings (min. runs 35) in the IPL.

1.91 off 34 deliveries (Strike Rate of 267.64) vs KKR, Kolkata, 2019

2. 35 off 15 deliveries (Strike Rate of 233.33) vs RPS, Pune, 2017

3. 35 off 15 deliveries (Strike Rate of 233.33) vs RPS, Pune, 2017

16:49 (IST)

Mumbai's pace attack seems to have the edge slightly. But count out DC at your own peril. Ashwin is bowling wonderfully and add Nortje and Rabada to it and you have a formidable front.

16:37 (IST)

There you go, there is your trivia.

16:25 (IST)

CSK and KXIP are having a nightmarish season. Both the teams look down and out and only a miracle from here can turn things around for them. But what about tonight's game. Table toppers up against each other. Let's see who prevails!

16:12 (IST)

2. Kagiso Rabada vs Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard

While Ashwin v de Kock will happen at the top of the innings, this one will happen towards the fag end. A bowler who is perennially in form in IPL, fresh off a 3-35 spell in the previous match. Rabada is Mr consistent when it comes to the tournament, having picked up at least one wicket in each of his last 20 IPL games. It's a stat that will take some time to be beaten!

Rabada can bowl the bouncers and the yorkers, and will be against two of the best death overs hitters in Hardik and Pollard. Both of them have been in superb touch this IPL, with strike rates of 159 and 209 respectively.

15:58 (IST)

1. R Ashwin (DC) vs Quinton De Kock (MI)

A finger spinning off-spinner bagging Man of the Match award in Sharjah. That seemed unthinkable, but R Ashwin pulled that off for Delhi in the match against Rajasthan Royals with a terrific spell of 4-0-22-2. Two of those overs came inside the Power Play. It included the key wicket of Jos Buttler, this time at the striker's end! Ashwin's spell helped DC defend 185 - a not so great total at Sharjah. Ashwin's other wicket was Mahipal Lomror, a left hander. In the previous match too, he got a key left hander in Devdutt Padikkal of RCB.

Ashwin loves bowling to left handers, and he'll be up against one of the best left handers in IPL - Quinton de Kock. The MI opener had a slow start to the tournament but is finding his feet with scores of 67 and 23 in his last two games. He has been troubled by Ashwin in the past, and could face him in the Power Play. This battle could set the tone for the innings.

SRH vs RR Head-to-head Record

David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad and Steve Smith-led Rajasthan Royals have gifted us some memorable encounters over the years, including a high-scoring encounter in Hyderabad in 2019. They have faced each other 11 times and SRH have a slight advantage in the head to head rivalry – they have beaten RR in 6 of the 11 matches they have played against them.

14:17 (IST)

5. Rashid Khan (SRH): Rashid Khan – the master spin wizard, has been SRH’s hero with the ball in IPL 2020. He has picked 8 wickets in 6 matches but what has been stunning is his ability to choke the batsmen in the middle overs. Rashid’s economy rate of 4.83 is the second-best in IPL 2020 only after Axar Patel.

14:15 (IST)

4. Jonny Bairstow (SRH): Jonny Bairstow gave a Player of the Match Performance against KXIP smashing 97 off just 55 deliveries. The English batsman has scored 686 runs in 16 IPL matches at an average of 49 – the highest in the tournament’s history. He also scores his runs at a phenomenal strike rate of 150.1.

Mumbai Indians

If at all one team has a slight upper hand in any department, it's the experience in Mumbai Indians' pace bowling arsenal.

Both Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult, with years of experience behind them, could be the difference in the most sought-after contest of this edition.

Skipper Rohit Sharma has been in fine form thus far during the tournament and the smashing middle-order due of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard will also pose a threat to the formidable Capitals' bowling line-up.

Both Hardik and Pollard can change the complexion of the game within minutes and handling them will be the key. Krunal Pandya, too, is capable of conjuring up cameos that can turn things around for Mumbai Indians.

Predicted XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock (w/k), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, James Pattinson, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah

Delhi Capitals

Prithvi Shaw and the in-form Rishabh Pant will face their first stiff test when they face Bumrah and Boult, who can trouble any batsman with their pace and accuracy.

The good news for Capitals is Shimron Hetmyer getting his touch back with the innings against Rajasthan Royals on Friday. He seemed to be the only weak link in Capitals' ranks but his six-laden knock against Royals has removed that worry.

Capitals' skipper Shreyas Iyer has been very impressive so far both as a batsman and as the leader of the pack. Iyer has the exciting South African pace duo of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortze to do the job in that department.

The guile of Ravichandran Ashwin further adds sting to Capitals' attack. Axar Patel has nicely settled into the side after he replaced the injured Amit Mishra. His all-round ability is another plus for the Capitals.

Predicted XI: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje

In their last meeting in the UAE, SRH clashed with RR in Abu Dhabi on the 18th of April, 2014. In a low-scoring match, the RR bowlers restricted SRH to 133 for 6. RR were in deep trouble at 31 for 3 in the chase before Ajinkya Rahane and Stuart Binny put together a match-changing 77-run stand for the 4th wicket. Rahane top scored with 59 while Binny remained unbeaten on 48 off just 32 deliveries. RR won by 4 wickets with three balls to spare.

In the last encounter between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Jaipur-based team beat SRH by 7 wickets with 5 balls to spare in Jaipur in 2019. Manish Pandey was the standout performer with the bat for SRH – he scored 61 off just 36 deliveries helping SRH to a competitive 160 for 8. RR were given a fine start by Ajinkya Rahane (39) and Liam Livingstone (44). Sanju Samson remained unbeaten on 48 off just 32 deliveries to take RR to victory in the final over. RR seamer, Jaydev Unadkat was declared the Player of the Match for his impressive figures of 2-26 in 4 overs.

However, there is another battle that could define the match. The Rashid Khan vs Jos Buttler battle. The Afghanistan cricketer was on top of his game when SRH faced KXIP. He picked up three wickets for just 12 runs. On the other hand, if RR has to win, Buttler will need to fire. He has shown flashes of brilliance in all his innings in the IPL 2020 and has a 44-ball 70-run knock against MI, but he will be looking for a big score against SRH to set the ball rolling for RR.

Rajasthan Royals, desperate for a win will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Dubai. SRH have won 3 and lost 3 of their 6 matches and RR after starting the competition with a bang with two wins in their first two matches, have lost four in a row.

Now, let's take a look at 5 players who could have the maximum impact in the match:

1. Sanju Samson (RR): Sanju Samson gave two Player of the Match performances in this IPL in RR’s victories at Sharjah but has failed in the last four matches registering single-digit scores in all these encounters. He has a weakness against the short ball. Can he overcome it and show his prowess once again?

2. Steven Smith (RR): Like Samson, Smith gave two stellar performances in Sharjah – a 47-ball 69 against CSK followed by a 27-ball 50 against Kings XI Punjab. But has failed thereafter. Smith got a start in the previous match and would be hoping he can get a significant performance against SRH.

3. David Warner (SRH): David Warner scored a 40-ball 52 against KXIP and gave glimpses of his old self. Though still not quite at his destructive best, he forms a formidable partnership with Jonny Bairstow at the top of the order for SRH. Warner is the only batsman to have won the Orange Cap in 3 editions of the IPL.

We look at some key battles to look forward to in the encounter.

1. Sanju Samson (RR) vs Thangarasu Natarajan (SRH):

Sanju Samson gave two Player of the Match performances in this IPL in RR’s victories at Sharjah but has failed in the last four matches registering single-digit scores in all these encounters. He would be looking to make amends against SRH.

T Natarajan has bowled well for SRH in the tournament. The left-arm seamer has picked 7 wickets from 6 matches and has also been restrictive going under 8 an over.

2. Steven Smith (RR) vs Rashid Khan (SRH)

Rashid Khan has picked 8 wickets in 6 matches and has been extremely restrictive in the middle overs. Rashid’s economy rate of 4.83 is the second-best in IPL 2020 only after Axar Patel.

Steven Smith has failed in the last 4 matches but count on his experience to come up with a big one against SRH. If he does survive the powerplay, he would have to counter the spin wizardry of Rashid – this could be a fascinating battle as Smith is not afraid to use his feet against the spinners.

3. Jonny Bairstow (SRH) vs Jofra Archer (RR)

This battle could set the tone for the entire match. Two stars of the England cricket team up against one another in the IPL!

Jonny Bairstow was in devastating form in the previous encounter smashing 97 off just 55 deliveries. He has the highest average in IPL history and also scores his runs at a stunning strike rate of 150.1.

Jofra Archer is RR’s leading bowler in IPL 2020. He has picked 8 wickets in 6 matches at an economy rate of just under 7.

There could be massive fireworks in the powerplay.

When it comes to Rajasthan Royals this match is pretty important for their survival in this season. The team are currently at seventh position on the table just above Kings XI Punjab. Led by Steve Smith, the team lost their last match to Delhi Capitals after falling short of chasing 184 runs.

Riding high on their recent win against Kings XI Punjab, David Warner -led Sunrisers Hyderabad will be facing Rajasthan Royals in their upcoming match. SRH have shown a resilient performance after losing their first two matches of this season. They went on to win three out of four matches and are currently ranked number five on the table.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain, Steven Smith and star Indian batsman, Sanju Samson were on fire in the first two matches of their franchise in the tournament. Between them, they smashed 16 fours and as many as 22 sixes in these twin performances at Sharjah. But it has all gone crashing down since then! 4 matches, 4 consecutive failures and 4 losses for the Royals. Can they find their form today?

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals have faced off in the Indian Premier League on 11 occasions with Sunrisers taking six wins against Rajasthan’s five.

Preview: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will clash with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 26 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in Dubai on the afternoon of the 11th of October.

IPL 2020 FULL COVERAGE|IPL 2020 SCHEDULE|IPL 2020 POINTS TABLE

SRH have won 3 and lost 3 of their 6 matches in the tournament while RR after starting the competition with a bang with two wins in their first two matches, have lost four in a row.

Rajasthan Royals: RR have royally fallen down after their smashing wins in their first two matches of the tournament in Sharjah. They have lost 4 matches in a row and are currently languishing at number 7 in the points table.

What has been disappointing more than the losses is the manner in which RR has folded in these 4 matches – they have been outplayed and for the most part not even competed in the match.

RR’s dramatic fall is closely linked to the stunning reversal in form of their two star batsmen – Steven Smith and Sanju Samson – after starting with a bang with two match-winning performances in Sharjah, the duo have fallen apart and have registered 7 single-digit scores in a combined last 8 innings.

Jofra Archer continues to be the ace bowler – he has picked 8 wickets in 6 matches at an economy rate of just under 7.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: SRH have won three of their last 4 matches and would be elated with the performance of their star openers against Kings XI Punjab in Dubai. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow put together their 5th hundred stand in the IPL – 160 in 15 overs helping SRH post a total in excess of 200 which ultimately handed them a massive victory.

But the team needs more from the middle order. Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson need a big score.

The bowling is led by their champion leg-break master spin wizard – Rashid Khan. He is SRH’s leading wicket-taker and also their most restrictive bowler in IPL 2020 – he has a stunning economy rate of 4.83 in the tournament! T Natarajan has been impressive too picking 7 wickets in 6 matches at just under 8 an over.
