Seventh FIR filed against AIMIM chief from Bhiwandi

Thane, Oct 10 (UNI) One more FIR has been registered against AIMIM chief from Bhiwandi Mohammad Khalid Shaikh alias Guddu by police for allegedly demanding 'protection money' from a local builder.
This is the seventh FIR, including that of rape on a woman, against the accused who is currently in the police custody, police said.
At present, the First Information Report has been registered under sections 384, 386, 387 and 34 of Indian Penal Code against four, including Khalid's brother, with the Bhoiwada police station of Bhiwandi said.
All the four have been arrested in different cases of extortion during the varying period and they all are in the police custody.
The victim was afraid due to terror let loose by Khalid Guddu and his brother, Iftekar alias Bablu, in the town and hence did not lodge the complaint against the accused, however, after filing of the first FIR some weeks back and arrest of the accused, the people are coming out and registering the complaints, police said.
In the present complaint filed late on Friday night, the builder from Roshan Baugh said that in 2016, the accused threatened to file a complaint with the civic authorities if he did not give the protection money to the accused. Accordingly, Rs 7 lakh was given to them but the accused later also grabbed the parking space from him in a building and carried out construction in it.
In addition to this, the accused made a woman to forcefully occupy one of the tenements, which she has been doing till date.
The local police are probing into the crime, sources added.
