MADURAI: A man died on Saturday after he was struck by lightning while playing cricket in Sivaganga. The deceased was identified as Udayamoorthy, 22, son of C Sundar, of Kurinji street in Manamadurai.
Udayamoorthy was playing cricket with a few of his friends while it was raining heavily.
A lightning struck him and Udayamoorthy died on the spot.
His body was taken to Manamadurai Government hospital.
