The Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is yet to finalize the list of candidates for the second phase of Bihar assembly elections. The BJP's Central Election Committee (CEC) will meet on Saturday evening to discuss the names of its candidates.
This will be the second meeting of the BJP CEC for the upcoming elections to the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Significantly, the last date for nomination for the first phase of the Bihar assembly election was October 8 and 1357 candidates filed their nominations during this period. The date of scrutiny of nomination papers for the first phase is October 9 and names can be withdrawn by October 12. At the same time, the nomination process for the second phase has started on October 9.
Voting for the second phase of Bihar assembly elections will be held on November 3. In the second phase, votes will be cast for 94 assembly constituencies in 17 districts. Nomination papers will be filed by 16 October, while nomination papers will be examined on 17 October. Whereas on October 19, the names can be withdrawn. Voting for this phase will be held on November 3. And the third phase will be voted on November 7.
