Lack of originality in Bollywood tunes has been a hot topic of debate for years now. There was a time when we cried and laughed our hearts out with Hindi cinema acting legends as the soul-stirring songs played in the background. Every word in the lyrics of the song pushed us deeper into a trance-like state. Every harmony struck a chord in our hearts. Sadly, the same cannot be said for today's songs. Remix versions of golden yesteryears songs are brutally trolled, the new songs almost seem to be a mixture of 'trendy' words taken out of a millennial's vocabulary.
