UP: Woman alleges rape attempt by two men in moving van in Unnao

UNNAO: A 25-year-old woman was severely injured during an alleged rape attempt by two men, including a relative, in Bangarmau area of Unnao on Friday.
According to the woman, one Bilal Khan, who is her relative, reached her house in the morning and asked her to come along for some paperwork regarding a land purchase.
According to police, Bilal and his friend Faisal took her along on a pickup van. Some time later they started touching the woman inappropriately and bit her on the face when she opposed. The woman has told police that they wanted to rape her.
The accused fled from the van on seeing some locals approaching. The locals told police about the incident after which both the accused were nabbed.
Unnao SP Anand Kulkarni said that the victim has been shifted to hospital for medical care and her condition is stable.
He also said that an FIR has been lodged against Bilal and Faisal under sections of rape, causing hurt by weapons.
