Haryana registers 1,158 new COVID-19 cases, 10 fatalities

Chandigarh, Oct 10 (UNI) With the detection of 1,158 fresh COVID-19 cases in Haryana on Saturday, the infection tally in the state surged to 1,41,090.
The death toll also mounted to 1,572 in the state after 10 more patients succumbed to the virus in last 24 hours.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed three lives in Fatehabad district, two each in Ambala and Yamunanagar and one life each in Faridabad, Gurugram and Hisar districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 264 were reported from Gurugram district, 149 from Faridabad, 112 from Hisar, 87 from Rewari, 70 from Sonipat, 64 from Panchkula, 60 from Rohtak, 45 each from Ambala and Kurukshetra, 41 from Sirsa, 38 from Kaithal, 33 from Bhiwani, 30 from Palwal, 28 from Yamunanagar, 26 from Karnal, 24 from Jhajjar, 16 from Panipat, 14 from Mahendergarh, eight from Fatehabad and four new cases from Jind district.
Of the 1572 fatalities so far, 231 deaths have been reported from Faridabad district, 184 from Gurugram, 111 from Karnal, 104 from Ambala, 100 from Panchkula, 96 from Panipat, 95 from Kurukshetra, 90 from Yamunanagar, 85 from Hisar, 70 from Sirsa, 70 from Rohtak, 48 each from Sonipat and Fatehabad, 42 from Jind, 41 from Kaithal, 40 from Bhiwani, 33 from Rewari, 30 from Jhajjar, 24 from Nuh, 19 from Palwal, 7 from Mahendergarh while four deaths have been reported from Charkhi Dadri district.
Gurugram is the worst-affected district with 23,300 confirmed cases, followed by Faridabad with 21,336 cases, Sonepat with 8,871, Ambala 8,461, Karnal 7,814, Panipat 7,643, Hisar 7,299, Rohtak 6,571, Panchkula 6,556, Rewari 6,312, Kurukshetra 6,032, Yamunanagar 4,597, Sirsa 4,277, Mahendergarh 3,811, Bhiwani 3,097, Palwal 2,882, Jhajjar 2,798, Kaithal 2,652, Fatehabad 2,539, Jind 2,351, Nuh 1,189 and Charkhi Dadri with 702 cases.
Apart from these, there are 21 US-returnee Haryana citizens who have been found COVID-19 positive, the bulletin added.
