Mamata briefs me urgently on

Kolkata, Oct 10 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday vouched for immediate briefing by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on "grim and explosive" law and order scenario in the state.

" Chief Secretary @MamataOfficial has been communicated by ACS my directive that CM Mamata Banerjee briefs me urgently on grim and explosive law and order scenario in WB, " Mr Dhankhar tweeted.

" CS directed to respond by 2 PM, " he said.

" CS reminded that his response on issues in aide memoire is being awaited, " the Governor added.

" Am confident that keeping in view essence, letter & spirit of Constitution and alarming law and order state of affairs @MamataOfficial @WBPolice @KolkataPolice Hon’ble CM would urgently brief me on current situation, issues of human rights, keeping public interest uppermost, " Mr Dhankhar stated.

279 more test positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal, death toll at 23

Itanagar, Oct 10 (UNI) As many as 279 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the state's caseload to 11,760, while the fatalities toll rose to 23 following death of a 72-year-old man.
Of the new positive cases, 103 were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC), 41 from Changlang , 34 from West Siang,19 from Lohit,17 from Tirap and 11 from Upper Subansiri, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).
