Vyjayanthi Movies, the makers of much-awaited Deepika Padukone and Prabhas starrer 'Prabhas 21' on Friday announced the inclusion of megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account and announced the same. He wrote, "AMITABH - PRABHAS - DEEPIKA... #AmitabhBachchan to star in #Prabhas21 [not titled yet]... Stars #Prabhas and #DeepikaPadukone... Directed by Nag Ashwin... Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies... Will release in multiple languages in 2022."
Unveiling a 27-second video, the team also wrote, "How can we try to make a legendary film without the legend Amitabh Bachchan."
A clip from his innumerable movies was also added to the mass video. Welcoming Big B on board, producers of the film Vyjyanthi Movies tweeted, "Welcoming with a full heart, the pride of a billion Indians. The Amitabh Bachchan. Our journey just got BIG-ger!"
Prabhas 21 stars Prabhas for the first time opposite Deepika Padukone. Interestingly, the project will also mark Deepika's debut in the Telugu film industry. It is also said that the legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao will be mentoring the magnum opus, which will start rolling from next year after the lead actors' current commitments. The prestigious project will be shot in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
About the inclusion of a doyen like Amitabh Bachchan, an elated Nag Ashwin said, "I feel lucky and blessed that Bachchan Sir has selected our film among the many choices he has. It is a full-length role, which we believe will do justice to the legend that he is."
Prabhas 21 is said to be a futuristic sci-fi thriller set against the backdrop of an imaginary World War 3. To be shot in Telugu and dubbed into other regional and international languages, the film is expected to go on floors this November.
