    Stock market update: MidCap stocks down; Tata Consumer Products slips 3%

    NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading on a negative note at 12:52PM (IST) on Friday.

    Shares of LIC Housing Finance (up 7.36 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank (up 5.08 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (up 3.78 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 2.58 per cent) and RBL Bank (up 2.3 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    While Tata Consumer Products (down 3.05 per cent), Biocon (down 2.72 per cent), Emami (down 2.31 per cent), Future Retail (down 2.1 per cent) and Indraprastha Gas (down 2.09 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

    The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.18 per cent down at 14800.4 around 12:52PM.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 75.00 points at 11909.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 304.66 points at 40487.33.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

    Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Vedanta , Alok Industries and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of JK Cement, Hero MotoCorp, Cadila Health, Apollo Hospital and JSW Steel hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while A & M Febcon Ltd., Majestic Research Services & Solutions Ltd., Pazel International Ltd., Stephanotis Finance Ltd., S & S Power Switchgear Ltd., Neil Industries Ltd., Primuss Pipes & Tubes Ltd., California Software Company Ltd., Seasons Furnishings Ltd. and Looks Health Services Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
