Manikchand prize to be reinstated

Bhopal, Oct 8 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan alleged on Thursday that the predecessor Congress dispensation’s decision – to stop presenting the Manikchand Vajpayee Journalism Award – was a step fuelled by political antipathy.
“We have decided to reinstate the honour that carries a cash component of Rs 2.51 lakh. ‘Mamaji’ never compromised with his ideology,” the veteran leader conveyed via social media.

“The Congress is anti-development. It does no work and when I toil, their leaders fret. To those seeing the pipe dream of crushing the saffron camp, I say that our workers possess such exemplary calibre that if they resolve to achieve an objective then nothing is impossible for them. We seek your blessings and affection so that this sequence of development continues without interval,” the veteran leader was quoted as saying.
