Prez, PM, pay tributes to Ram Vilas Paswan

New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid their last respects to late Union Food Supply and Consumer Affairs minister Ram Vilas Paswan at his official residence here on Friday.

Seventy-four-year-old Paswan passed away after illness late on Thursday evening after undergoing a heart operation five days ago.

Paswan's mortal remains have been kept at his official residence in the National Capital for

people to pay their respects.

The President reached Ram Vilas Paswan's official residence 12, Janpath, New Delhi this morning at 1030 hrs and paid his respects to the LJP leader.

Earlier, the Prime Minister on Friday morning visited Ram Vilas Paswan's official residence to

pay homage to the LJP leader.

PM Modi met the bereaved family members and offered his condolences.

BJP President JP Nadda, Animal Husbandry Minister Giriraj Singh also accompanied PM Modi and paid their tributes.

The Defence Minister reached the departed leader's residence at around 1100 hrs and paid his last respects.
