Hosted by Salman Khan, the show promises to be more entertaining than previous seasons. With ‘Ab Paltega Scene, Kyunki Bigg Boss Dega 2020 Ko Jawab’ as the theme, the makers have ensured several twists in the show. The contestants for the season are Abhinav Shukla, Eijaz Khan, Rahul Vaidya, Pavitra Punia, Jasmin Bhasin, Nikki Tamboli, Shehzad Deol, Jaan Kumar Sanu, Rubina Dilaik, Nishant Singh Malkani and Sara Gurpal.
Adding to the thrill of the show are the three ‘Toofani Seniors’, Sidharth Shukla, Hina Khan and Gauahar Khan, who have the power to change the game of the freshers (new contestants). Sidharth is the king of the bedroom, and it is only with his permission that this season’s contestants get to use the beds. Hina Khan is the owner of BB Mall where all the belongings of the contestants have been put. Every day, the contestants have to pick seven items which they need from the BB Mall. Lastly, Gauahar Khan is the queen of the kitchen and if the contestants will get food or not is in her hands.
The ‘Toofani Seniors’ will be staying in the Bigg Boss house for 14 days. After that, they will decide who all deserve to go ahead in the show and who will leave the Bigg Boss house. But, as of now, the show appears to be more about Sidharth, Hina and Gauahar rather than the new contestants. The actual side of the freshers will only come out after the ‘Toofani Seniors’ exit the show.

However, a few from the current lot, including Nikki Tamboli, Pavitra Punia, Shehzad Deol and Abhinav Shukla, have shown their capability to go ahead in the show. They are making sure to grab the attention of the cameras in the house. Now, it remains to be seen how they fare in the coming days.
Salman Khan will today pull up Abhinav Shukla, Sara Gurpal and Nishant Singh Malkani for their performance in Bigg Boss Season 14. He will also tell Jaan Kumar Sanu that he is coming across as a fan of Sidharth Shukla in the house.

In tonight's Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan will praise Bigg Boss 14 contestant Rubina Dilaik for standing up for herself against the seniors and making sure that she's heard. He asked husband and co-contestant Abhinav to stay away from Rubina's game and let her fight her own battles.
In an interview with indianexpress.com, Pavitra Punia said, "The last season definitely set a huge benchmark. Yes, there is pressure, but I don’t think it’s only on the contestants. The makers and creative teams will also want to do something different and more entertaining. Let’s see what happens. We will try our best to create the same dhamaal and dhamaka. If not beat the last season, we will surely reach that level."
In today's Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan will give Nikki Tamboli an opportunity to take luxury items from Bigg Boss Mall.
Rubina Dilaik raised a point on the BB Mall clause mentioned in the rule book. Supporting Rubina in her stand, Kamya Punjabi tweeted, "Rubina was talking sense about the number of items, and I completely agree with her but logon ki ego ko yeh baat hazam nahi hui aur ho gaya saara ghar uske khilaaf (but people could not understand and went against her.)"
Hina Khan, who entered the Bigg Boss 14 house as one of the Toofani Seniors, shared her experience of taking Covid-19 test on her YouTube channel.

During the immunity task on Friday in Bigg Boss 14, Nishant Malkani was spraying perfume on Abhinav Shukla's face despite Toofani Senior Gauahar Khan's repetitive warnings. Nishant only stopped after Bigg Boss intervened. Praising Gauahar's move, Priya Malik tweeted, "Only Gauahar Khan objected to the use of spray directly on Abhinav's face. It takes a human to understand humanity." Agreeing to Malik, Kamya wrote, "Yes, it has always been Gauahar only. From BB7 to BB14."
Bigg Boss 14 contestant Rahul Vaidya is giving music classes to Sara Gurpal, Abhinav Shukla and Shehzad Deol. He says that he can definitely train them to be good singers by the end of the show.

The biggest drawback of having Sidharth Shukla once again reign over the Bigg Boss house is that the freshers are not getting to make a connection with the audience. We understand the makers are trying to cash in on the last season’s winner’s popularity; however, it is a temporary stay. The initial few days is the biggest chance that housemates get to win the audience’s hearts. This is when most favourites are chosen, and given that Shukla ji is at the forefront, these contestants are not getting a chance to shine or even be seen. Friday's episode of Bigg Boss 14 witnessed a couple of fights. It started with Jaan Kumar Sanu and Nikki Tamboli poking Sara Gurpal and Shehzad Deol who got angry and argued with Jaan for siding with Nikki. Later in the day, Nishant Singh Malkhani, Sara and Abhinav discussed how Eijaz is not getting into the game, and it is easy to say anything to him since he doesn't react.
Sidharth Shukla annoyed Gauahar Khan with his comment on her writing against him on Twitter during Bigg Boss 13. Gauahar asked Sidharth if he is a bully since always or has he become one after Bigg Boss 13. Next morning, Sidharth went up to her and explained he was just joking around and didn't mean to hurt her.
The discussion around seven items to be taken from the BB Mall once again created a ruckus in the house. While the contestants came up with a list of 27 items they need, Rubina Dilaik suggested they count the salwar, kameez and dupatta as one item. Though the housemates suggested there's no point suggesting this, Rubina continued to argue and read the rulebook aloud to prove her point. The entire drama irked Hina Khan who announced that she will now count each shoe in a pair of shoes as one item.
Since the entire house blamed Rubina for Hina's decision, she said the seniors have deliberately made everyone gang up against her. Sidharth, Gauahar and Hina got angry with her statement and they told her not everyone is plotting against her.
Towards the end of the day, Bigg Boss announced a task where the contestants were given a chance to take away the immunity from Abhinav Shukla and Nikki. In the endurance task, the contestants were required to sit inside a bulldozer scoop while the other contestants had to pull them out of it and get them to give up. Whoever survives inside the scoop until the final buzzer will be declared as the winner of this task.
By the end of Friday's episode, Pavitra Punia made Nikki leave her place but Abhinav continued to sit in the scoop.
Abhinav Shukla and Nikki Tamboli won immunity in separate tasks this week.
