Chandigarh, Oct 9 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs staged a protest outside the Punjab Vidhan Sabha calling Capt Amarinder Singh anti-Punjab and demanded that the Punjab Chief Minister should immediately convene an all party meeting and include the presidents of 31 farmers' organizations in the meeting and to convene a session of the Vidhan Sabha before October 15 in consultation with the agronomists so that a solution can be found soon to save all sections, including the farmers, from ruin.
The dharna led by Deputy Leader of Opposition Bibi Sarabjit Kaur Manunke was called by MLAs Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Meet Hair, Prof. Baljinder Kaur, Manjit Singh Bilaspur, Kulwant Singh Pandori and Master Baldev Singh also addressed the gathering. Party leaders Raj Lali Gill and Govinder Mittal were also present on the occasion.
She said Capt. Amarinder Singh had played a pivotal role in passing the three Agriculture Ordinance Bills introduced by the Modi government at the Center to ruin the farming profession of Punjab and break the federal structure of the country. You are misleading the people of Punjab by holding rallies, but Capt. Amarinder Singh should understand that the people of Punjab will no longer fall for your political maneuvers, because the people of Punjab have become wiser and more aware. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has been opposing
the anti-agriculture black laws passed from day one and will continue to oppose them till the anti-farmer black laws are repealed.
They said, "Punjabis, you have placed the duty of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha so that we can convey your grievances and problems to the ears of the Punjab government through the Vidhan Sabha." Under the same demand made by the farmers, farm laborers, bookkeepers, artisans, transporters, small shopkeepers etc. of Punjab today that the assembly should be convened before October 15, the AAP MLAs considered it their duty to listen to the Punjab Chief Minister. We are holding a dharna outside the Vidhan Sabha to get your demand met.
They said Captain-Badal-Modi had hatched a scheme to mislead all the farmers and other sections of Punjab under a scheme to weaken and 'torpedo' the struggle being waged by various farmers' organizations across Punjab. The maneuvers are going on, but the AAP will not allow the failed efforts of these anti-peasant parties to succeed at any cost, as the Aam Aadmi Party's entire Punjab leadership and volunteers hold public rallies in every village and town in Punjab. The vote bank being run by Captain-Badal-Modi is making people aware of the dirty politics.
