Rajasthan: 50-year-old temple priest dies after land mafia set fence on fire over property dispute

Temple priest who got severely injured after few people set the fence of his land on fire succumbed to his injuries yesterday.

In a statement given to police, the priest stated that few influential people including accused Kailash Meena and his sons tried to encroach his land. He also said that during a dispute, accused set the fence on fire in which priest got severely burnt.

The incident happened at Bukna village in Sapotra, Karauli district, police said.

As per the information given by the police, they have arrested the main accused Kailash Meena

The priest died in the hospital in Jaipur where he was admitted after the incidence.

As per the news report by Daink Bhaskar, the incident happened when he tried to stop an attempt by the land mafia to encroach upon land given to him.
