No posters outside Covid patients’ homes: Delhi govt

NEW DELHI: The health department has asked districts not to put up posters outside homes where people are under quarantine with their names and other details due to stigma people are attaching with the disease.
It has been observed in some areas that some people are reluctant to come forward for tests because they know posters will be put up outside their homes and are only approaching medical help when their symptoms grow.
A source said the existing posters will also be removed. No official order discarding the need of putting up posters, however, has been issued yet by the government.
