Schools, colleges, and higher education institutions are currently not allowed to open in Jammu and Kashmir under Unlock 5.0. These institutions will remain closed till 31 October. Under the new arrangement effective from October 15, coaching centers, cinema halls will be opened with 50 percent capacity.
Meanwhile, permission has been given to open a liquor bar from October 9. Corona testing will be mandatory for those who enter air, rail, and road in the state as before. There is no district red zone in the state, so no pass will be needed for any kind of movement.
Fifty percent of the capacity and a maximum number of 200 people has been fixed at closed places such as public attendance halls. Now spectators will also be able to visit the sports complexes.
People over 65 years of age, pregnant, and children below ten years have been asked to stay at home. Health problem cases will be an exception. The District Deputy Commissioner will no longer be able to impose lockdown at the local level. To do this, approval has to be taken from the State Executive Committee of the Disaster Management Department.
Seven thousand people will be able to see mother Vaishno every day
In Unlock 5.0, the daily number of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi visitors has been reduced to seven thousand. Restrictions on religious rallies will continue as applicable. People will be able to visit open places from October 15 in political, social, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious ceremonies, but social distance, use of masks and sanitizers will be mandatory.
