NEW DELHI: The State Board of Technical Education and Training will announce the AP POLYCET (Polytechnic Common Entrance Test) result 2020 on Friday i.e., October 9, 2020.
The POLYCET result 2020 will be made available on the official website of AP POLYCET — polycetap.nic.in — for the public access.
AP POLYCET exam was conducted on September 27. The online application process for AP POLYCET commenced on March 16 and concluded on September 3.
POLYCET is a Polytechnic common entrance test conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Amaravati for admission into Diploma level programs conducted in Government, Aided, Private, Un-aided Polytechnics and Second Shift polytechnics run in existing Private unaided Engineering Colleges. However, candidates should note that merely appearing for POLYCET-2020 and obtaining a merit rank does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically unless the candidate fulfills the requirements laid down for admission.
The minimum marks for declaring a candidate to have passed in the AP POLYCET examination will be thirty percent i.e., 36 marks out of 120. Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes will be assigned ranking irrespective of the marks obtained in the entrance test. Such candidates even less than 30% marks in POLYCET-2020 will be eligible to compete for their category of seats during the admission. The marks obtained at the entrance test will be considered for assigning rank, based on which, the selection will be made for admission into diploma courses.
